With not owning your own truck the saving grace could be the rest is taken as the time it takes between jobs. Perhaps check the day and time you finish one job, and the date and time you start another. I know that i got my first truck and once i delivered a job, my guy was already tired and wanting to sleep before i even started the next job.
The blue of the sleep meter is too close to the gray empty color of the meters for me and I can't see how filled the meter is to due to that. This has stopped me from using sleep simulation as I can't tell when I need to stop. Is there a mod to change the UI colors (or show exact time before I need to sleep)? Also if a devs sees this, could you implement colorblind support for UI elements? I
Re: Avoid sleeping violation and fatigue warning timings. there is warning even without adviser. when the driver is yawning (over 85% of allowed drive time), he/she should be resting in short time. when you ignore this for some time (over 120% of drive time) you might start to fade or micro sleep randomly.

Just like IRL, driving trucks in ETS 2 takes some trip planning. When I was learning how to drive long hauls, we spent a LOT of time on that, along with map reading, etc. There's not much you can do other than pay attention to your sim driver's need for sleep, by looking at the bed in the GPS window, and also using F6 to check when you need to
